Helping Children's Wisconsin shed light on the mental health crisis facing our kids.
Kids face a mental and behavioral health crisis. Here in Wisconsin, suicide is the second leading cause of death among teenagers, hospitalization rates are startling and there is limited access to care and resources.

The Challenge
The Challenge
Children's Wisconsin initiated a 5 year, $150M commitment to raise awareness around this important and complex issue, reduce the stigma associated with it, and provide families and communities with tools to help confront it.
This pediatric mental and behavioral health initiative called for a name and logo that would both reflect urgency and positivity, while coexisting well with the existing Children’s Wisconsin brand aesthetic.

The Solution
The Solution
In partnership with Children’s Wisconsin, my team developed and launched the Shine Through campaign.
The identity we created was meant to not only bring awareness to the weight of this crisis, but serve as a beacon of hope in fighting it — a light through the darkness.
We launched the campaign with a hard-hitting video made to raise awareness and inspire action. Alongside the video, we organized a collaborative event across multiple Milwaukee locations, lighting up the night sky to spark interest.
Every touchpoint of the "Shine Through" campaign, from digital to print to radio, served to further awareness for this vital multi-year initiative.
And that was only the beginning.
This award-winning, multifaceted campaign has done more than increase awareness, it has inspired engagement and action — helping raise more than $60 million to date for this vital cause.
Following the success of the "Shine Through" launch, Children's Wisconsin also entrusted us to develop and design the branding for their other planned fundraising efforts.
